Chesterfield Road, Tibshelf
Following an initial design consultation the client appointed JCAD to produce initial sketch designs to reinvigorate an old, dated 1960’s dormer bungalow, remodelling it into a modern larger family home with individual character and Architectural merit. Additionally, our clients wanted to reconfigure the layout of the home to make the most of some fantastic views out over Hardwich Hall to the rear.
Following design reviews ensued to develop the final scheme which received full planning approval from Bolsover District Council followed by building control approval prior to construction commencing.
The scheme is broadly detailed below.
Existing Property – A dated Two bedroom detached dormer bungalow situated between larger two storey dwellings on a main road in Tibshelf
As Built – The development involved the re-planning of the ground floor within the existing dwelling, relocation of the staircase and a modern two storey extension to the front of the property and new dormer roof / rooflights to the rear, resulting in a unique and striking property
The completed dwelling comprises the following accommodation:
- Four bedrooms (including en-Suite facilities to Master Bedroom)
- Large family bathroom
- Feature two storey glazing to front stairwell
- New front entrance door
- Lounge relocated to rear (making the most of views out over Hardwick Hall)
- New large dining Kitchen
- Downstairs WC
