A contemporary extension new kitchen and dinning area
This detached family home in Nether Edge, Sheffield, had an existing side extension which was in a state of disrepair and as a result was unused. Brightman Clarke were appointed to replace this with a new single storey side extension which, not only added living space, but made better use of the existing kitchen and dining spaces.
Design Process
The key design principle for this project was to create an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting space and connect it with the property’s fantastic, mature garden.
This high quality proposal is angled, focussing the views from within, towards the heart of the garden. Nestled within the conservation area, this contemporary proposal makes a statement whilst complimenting the existing property through use of material and colour tone. Use of contrasting timber cladding is continued into in the form of decking to create a seamless transition into the garden.
